Exxon Valdez: 25 Years Later
Posted by Rosanna McInnes on March 11, 2014
Seldovia Oil Spill Response Team (SOS) will commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill with a statewide Video-teleconference and presentation. Join us at the Seldovia Public Library from 7 – 9 p.m. on Monday, March 24th. Bring your memorabilia, photographs, or stories, and be ready to listen and share, as SOS talks about the evolution of small town oil spill response and it’s future. Audience members will be given a chance to share their memories or special items that help to commemorate the spill. We will be joined by libraries across the state, including public libraries in the towns of Barrow, Craig, Glenallen, Homer, Kotzebue, and Barrow. We will also be joined by the RCAC live from the Loussac Library in Anchorage. You don’t want to miss this special event!
