Book club, anyone?

Have you ever wanted to put together a book club here in Seldovia but balked over the complications of everyone getting the same book at once?

Well, the Anchorage Public Library, through their Interlibrary Loan Service, now offers Book Club Bags.  Each bag contains:

• 8-10 copies of a title, labeled and numbered
• a brief author biography
• book club tips and general discussion questions

Bags may be checked out for six weeks (no renewals) and clubs may check out only one bag at a time.

There are approximately 90 titles right now: just go to the library website  to see what’s available: the most recent title list is available as a pdf download. Orders must be placed through the Seldovia Public Library and your books will probably take 1-2 weeks to arrive (weather permitting, of course). The only charge for the service is the postage to return the book bag to Anchorage.
