Summer Reading Activities

Come join the Summer Reading Program at the Seldovia Public Library. Our theme this year is On Your Mark, Get Set, Read! and is geared toward getting kids up and moving and reading. The program is free and open to all kids under the age of 12.

READ AND EARN PRIZES!

Anyone under the age of 12 years old can participate! Whether you are an independent reader, or have someone read to you, come by the library and pick up a reading log. For every 3 hours you read this summer, you will earn a prize.  Register at the Seldovia Public Library after June 1st and read all summer to earn prizes!

SPECIAL PROGRAMS at the LIBRARY!

If you are in grades kindergarten through 6th grade, we’ll be hosting several fun activities starting with a Kick Off Party on June 1st. Check the schedule below and meet us at the appropriate place for stories, games and explorations all summer!

 

Summer Reading Program is starting at the library this summer

This should be fun! A summer reading program is starting at the library on June 1st for children up to 14 years of age. Details below in the flyer. This is a great way for children to stay engaged with reading this summer and they will get to participate in a party at the end (perhaps even in what will be the newly renovated downstairs room!).

Singing/storytelling event at library

All children and families are welcome to join us at the library at 9:45 am on Friday, 7/26 for a special treat – a singing/storytelling event with a guest music teacher, Ken Greimann, from Missouri.

when Shirly Giles will hold a holiday story hour for all our youngest readers.  Storytime will begin at 1 pm and last for approximately an hour. Bring your little ones and enjoy some holiday fun!
