Seldovia Public Library Seeks Requests for Contract Bids
Posted by Tracie Merrill, Library Board member on July 2, 2015
The Seldovia Public Library has received a Rasmuson Foundation Tier 1 Grant to renovate the downstairs room of our library this summer. This is an approximately 20 ft by 20 ft room. The Library Board is currently soliciting local bids for some minor general labor/repair work. Work to be completed would include: floor tiling put in (TM Allure Oak Resilient Plank – 24SF; 20 cases), an antique safe moved, the door to the room fixed (it is not properly egressed so needs to be “turned around”), and a window’s opening mechanisms repaired. Floor tiling has already been ordered and purchased so cost of purchasing tiling should not be included in bids. It is our understanding the existing floor would not need to be removed but rather the new tiling can be laid on top of it. We expect work to be completed over a few days and by the end of July/early August. We are accepting local bids from all qualified companies and persons up to July 18th, 2015. Please include work experience/professional qualifications as well. Please submit bids, questions, or requests to view the room to the Library Board at firstname.lastname@example.org. The room may also be viewed during any regular open library hours without special request. The successful contractor will be notified within a week of July 18th. Thank you.
