Library help needed!
Posted by Tracie Merrill, Library Board member on May 10, 2015
Don’t know what to do this summer? The library has shifts in need of filling! Are you free on Saturday afternoons or Tuesday evenings? The library is in immediate need of a volunteer who can work the 3-5 pm shift on Saturdays or the 7-9 pm shift on Tuesdays. There may be other opportunities, as well, for volunteering at the library so please check with us. We can also always use folks who are willing to “fill in” as needed when volunteers who work regular shifts can’t make their shifts. Volunteering at the library is a great way to meet community members (you see everyone), work with friendly people, and do community service (especially if you are in high school). It is really important we have enough volunteers to cover all the shifts and hours the library is open. Not only is that because we want to keep the library open during times the community wants us to be open, but under our grant terms, we are required to remain open a certain amount of hours each week. All the training you need will be provided to you. Please contact Tracie Merrill at 907-750-2918 or traciemerrill@if you are interested in volunteering. Thank you!
